Secretary, Work Permit Board
Regina Jackson has been with the Department since 2000, having served as the Secretary for the Work Permit Board since May 2010. Mrs Jackson had worked on the Immigration Board Secretariat and when this split into separate Boards in 2004 she remained within the Work Permit Board Secretariat. Mrs Jackson acted as Assistant Secretary to the Work Permit Board for about a year before moving on to the Secretary position. In this role, she manages the Work Permit Board Secretariat ensuring that the efficient processing of the 200 weekly applications from receipt to communication of the Board’s decision is carried out. She also managers a staff of six.
Mrs Jackson is a certified legal secretary, gaining her certification from the UCCI.

Secretary, Caymanian Status and Permanent
Residency Board
Susan Dixon first started working for the Immigration Department in November 2006 as Secretary to the Caymanian Status and Permanent Residency Board, having spent 17 years working in corporate services within the private sector. In her role, she oversees the administration of the Secretariat and has primary responsibilities for planning, scheduling and producing agendas for Board meetings. Along with her staff of six, she is involved in processing background checks, documents and relevant paperwork accompanying each application. Ms Dixon also interviews and provides advice to applicants in relation to their qualification for the granting of the Right to be Caymanian or Permanent Residence.
Ms Dixon has completed studies at Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University.
