Cabinet last week approved an amendment to the Immigration Regulations (2010 Revision) that exempts Jamaican nationals of a particular age from visa requirements to travel to the Cayman Islands.

Visas to travel to Cayman are no longer required for Jamaican nationals who are under 15 years of age or older than 70. In respect of Jamaican nationals who are 15 or older, but not older than 70, visas are still required prior to visiting Cayman.

Notice of this amendment has been disseminated to the airlines, the Cayman Islands Department of Immigration's Visa Office in Kingston, and to the International Air Transport Association for its Travel Information Manual - a global travel advisory.
